The Furniture Society is happy to be a cosponsor of this uniquely-placed exhibition at the LAX airport. The exhibition is hosted by the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs and the Los Angeles World Airports Public Arts Program. The work is displayed within three glass-enclosed showcases in terminal 3, an international terminal open to the public. No security clearance or boarding pass is required to access the exhibit.

 The co-curators of this exhibition, furniture makers Stephen Courtney and Harold Greene, have a mission to bring Studio Furniture as an art into conversation and spotlight, and to place it upon a broad public platform to provide long lasting exposure. Their vision in preparation for this exhibit was to assemble, unite and celebrate in community the art & artists speaking with their hand and hearts, the living language of Studio Furniture. The curators also hope the public will recognize southern California as a vital voice within the American Studio Furniture movement.
